Kristin Brassett Lemoine
A resident of south Louisiana with over five years of experience living in the Global South, Kristin is an enthusiastic trekker, yoga instructor, mother, and an experienced chemical engineer. Initially drawn to a career in chemical engineering to explore alternative solutions for highly polluting industries such as oil, gas, and chemicals, she now seeks to transition her career focus. Pursuing a master’s degree in ALM Sustainability with a concentration in International Development, she aims to leverage her thesis work, which involves creating a model for accounting for emerging entities like synthetic chemicals and pesticides, to promote accountability within these industries and advocate for a more circular and regenerative approach.
As director of Environmental Outreach, Kristin is deeply committed to raising awareness about under-discussed ecological issues, including toxins in consumer goods, consumer-driven capitalist culture, the preservation of sustainable Indigenous wisdom, the adverse effects of industrial agriculture, and the transformative modifications necessary to steer global economics toward a circular and regenerative model.
